Police arrest three girls who ass@ulted and stripped Bayelsa varsity student in viral video

The Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested three girls captured in a viral video ass@ulting a student of the Federal University in Otuoke identified as Nancy Wilfred.

The incident occurred in Yenagoa, the state capital.

The suspects were said to have be@ten the victim, stripped her naked and filmed the act

The viral video sighted by LIB showed the girls ass@ulting the girl, with heavy sl@ps, kicks and blows before cutting off her braids with a sharp object for allegedly sleeping with a boy said to be a lover to one of the girls.

Following public interest on the incident, the police launched a manhunt and arrested the suspects for assault, attempted merder, grievous hurt, cyber bellying, cyber st@lking and abduction,

The State Police Commissioner also initiated a criminal investigation into the incident, to bring the culprits to Justice after an exploratory interactive session was held with the victim, which later led to further sessions with some CBOs and gender organizations.

It was gathered that the operatives of Zone 16, with the assistance of the FOU security, apprehended the key suspect identified as Kadi.

Kadi provided useful information that led to the arrest of the other two suspects.

Police authorities confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody and will face further interrogation before being charged to court.

The command has assured the public of its commitment to ensuring justice and maintaining law and order.
