Simon Ekpa Reacts As Defence Headquarters Declares Him Wanted, Sends Message To Followers

Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa, has reacted to the Defence Headquarters' decision to declare him wanted alongside no fewer than 97 persons in the country.

According to MayerReport, the Defence Headquarters declared Ekpa wanted 'dead or alive on Friday for commiting violent crimes in the country'.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba confirmed the names and pictures of the wanted persons to The PUNCH on Friday evening.

Reacting to this, Ekpa, who made jest of the list of wanted persons, declared that the 'Biara government will release its own wanted list soon'.

In another post, Ekpa bragged about his continuous attacks on security operatives in the South-East.

A total of 43 persons were declared wanted in North West Zone ravaged by banditry, among which are: Alhaji Shingi; Malindi Yakubu; Boka; Dogo Gide; Halilu Sububu; Ado Aliero; Bello Turji; Dan Bokkolo; Labi Yadi; Nagala; Saidu Idris; Kachalla Rugga and Sani Gurgu.

Also, a total of 21 Insurgents and violent criminals were declared wanted in the southeast and North Central Area.

They are Simon Ekpa; Chika Edoziem; Egede; Zuma: ThankGod; Gentle: Flavour; Mathew: David Ndubuisi; High Chief Williams Agbor; Ebuka Nwaka; Friday Ojimka; Obiemesi Chukwudi aka Dan Chuk; David Ezekwem Chidiebube and Amobi Chinonso Okafor aka Temple among others.

A few days ago, Ekpa's principal, Kanu, who spoke on Tuesday after he was denied bail by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court Abuja, dissociated himself from the violence in the South-East geopolitical zone

In fact, the IPOB leader said anybody who is committing crime in the name of IPOB is a criminal and should be dealt with.

Kanu added: "I have sacrificed my parents for this struggle why would I want to sacrifice any other person. Anybody commiting crimes in the South-East is not part of this family."

The IPOB leader further said peace will be restored in the South-East if he is released from custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

"I suspect that some people in government are complicit. They are making money with this insecurity. They know if Nnamdi Kanu is outside, in two minutes, this nonsense will stop," Kanu told reporters.

"Anybody involved in any form of violence in the South-East in the name of IPOB, let me come out of this nonsense, this mess, only two minutes, I guarantee you, and there will be peace in the South-East."
